Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 Training Class

Do you feel called to get involved with the children of our parish?  Do you enjoy sharing your faith with others? Our Atrium program is looking for volunteers to help out with our children’s programs.

There will be a training class for Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd beginning in November.  The class involves 5 weekend sessions and a couple of evening sessions.  If you are unable to take this class but would still enjoy volunteering in one of our classrooms, we would love to have you!

Our Atrium classrooms are a beautiful, warm and welcoming environment where children, teachers and volunteers get to experience and share their faith in such a peaceful and loving way.  We hope that you will consider sharing some of your time with the children of our parish in this very special program.

For more information or to register for the class, please contact the parish office at office@holycrossparish.ca

*CORRECTION – Sacramental Preparation Classes – First Communion & Reconciliation

Sacramental Prep Classes for the sacraments will be available this fall.  We have changed up our sacramental prep program and will be offering Dynamic Catholic’s “BLESSED” sacramental prep program.  We are very excited to be offering this program.

“There’s never been anything like BLESSED in the Catholic world for children. With world-class animation, workbooks that are works of art, and catechist-friendly leader guides, First Communion and First Reconciliation prep finally meets children where they are and leads them, step-by-step, to where God is calling them to be.

BLESSED isn’t just different, it’s ground breaking.

*CORRECTION – Confirmation Preparation Classes

It is our intent to offer the Dynamic Catholic program entitled “DECISION POINT” to our Confirmation candidates this fall. Dynamic Catholic was founded on the idea of “meeting people where they are and leading them to where God is calling them to be.” Once Catholics are engaged in their spiritual journey, there is an abundance of materials that can feed them and draw them deeper into relationship with God and the Church.

*Confirmation Prep Classes will be offered to children ages 13 and up every first and third Saturday from 12:00pm—2:00pm. The start date will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021. A pizza lunch will be provided as part of the program. The registration form is now available on our  website and the parish office. Please make sure to fill out both pages and bring it to the parish office.

Cost: All families registering their children for the Confirmation Prep Classes will be required to pay $25 each child to cover the cost of materials.

Forms and fees for the Confirmation Prep Classes should be completed and submitted to Dominique Gougeon-Gagnon at the parish office by October 30, 2021.
