In response to Jesus' loving plea to spend time with him, Holy Cross Parish offers the faithful an opportunity to worship.

Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy

As announced in Fr. Peter’s message in this week’s parish bulletin, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is at the same time the date chosen by Pope Francis for the opening celebrations of the extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. There will be two Eucharistic celebrations at our church on this day presided by Fr. Peter: at 7:50 a.m. and at 7:00 p.m.

The evening Mass will include, among others, the recitation of the official Prayer for the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the recitation of the Prayer for the New Evangelization, after Communion, and the recitation/singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet after the final blessing.

The $2.00 booklet by Ann Naffziger, entitled Miracle of Mercy, Daily Reflections with the Message. Advent 2015 in the Year of Mercy, will be available for sale. Other spiritual activities will be proposed to all parishioners next week after being approved by the members of the Parish Pastoral Council.

Everyone is cordially welcomed to participate in these celebrations and benefit from this extraordinary time of grace!
