93rd Anniversary of the Dedication of Holy Cross Church & Dedication of Adoration Chapel
His Grace Archbishop Albert LeGatt has accepted Fr. Peter’s invitation to preside a special Eucharistic celebration on these two occasions on Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m. You are cordially invited to participate in this celebration commemorating:
- the historical event that took place 93 years ago with the celebration of the first Eucharist at the Holy Cross Church;
- the financial effort and the spiritual desire of our ancestors in faith to establish a first English-speaking church in the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface;
- and the more recent (November 30, 2008) opening and blessing of the Holy Cross Adoration Chapel.
The members of the Holy Cross Parish Pastoral Council, on the initiative of Fr. Peter, have decided that the official name of this prayer space should be: “The Holy Cross Adoration Chapel”. Since it has “only” been blessed, and not properly dedicated according to the Roman Catholic liturgy, we will have this special liturgical celebration hoping that many of our Parishioners and Adorers from other parishes will attend this Mass. You are most welcome to attend and celebrate with other members of our faith community.
