In response to Jesus' loving plea to spend time with him, Holy Cross Parish offers the faithful an opportunity to worship.

Christ the King Parish – Mini-Folklorama Event – August 15, 2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This summer, once again, we will be celebrating the richness of our parish’s multicultural community in our Mini-Folklorama on Saturday August 15th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This event is part of our four major events in the Liturgical Year where, in a sense, we pull out all the stops to produce, by God’s inspiration and help, an event to unify us through diversity—our theme: “Unity through Diversity.”
The date, as most of you will note, coincides beautifully with the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thus, Our Blessed Mother will be honored and celebrated in this special way.
As a family of God, we walk together, sharing our gifts and cultures with one another and, in keeping with our theme this year, A Year of Service, offering our talents and treasures to serve each other in love and joy.

We warmly invite everyone to participate—at no cost. You can sign up to share:

* a cultural dish,
* a traditional performance, or
* a folk dance from your heritage.

A sign-up sheet is available on the counter at the parking lot entrance. We also ask for your help with setting up, serving, or cleaning up afterward.

You are also invited to speak with one of the members of the Ad Hoc Committee: Shyju Vincy (our seminarian), Yvette, Florie, Emma & Mary. Or you can email the Parish Office directly at contact@ctkp.ca and your email will be forwarded to them. Let us continue to grow in unity and hope as we celebrate the many cultures that make our parish a truly joyful and welcoming home. We look forward to celebrating with you!
