In response to Jesus' loving plea to spend time with him, Holy Cross Parish offers the faithful an opportunity to worship.

Invitation to the Fall DPC

On behalf of Archbishop LeGatt, you are invited to the Diocesan Pastoral Council (DPC) meeting. This is a day for sharing and exchanging information, where your voice is heard, and new alliances and friendships are formed.

What is the DPC and why am I invited?  The DPC is a consultative body. Under the authority of the Archbishop, this council is composed of the Archbishop, Vicar General, Pastors, archdiocesan Pastoral Services staff, PPC Chairs, Vice-Chairs and/or their representatives. It’s a day for sharing and exchanging information, where your voice is heard and new alliances and friendships are formed.

Date: Saturday, November 21st

Time: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM (lunch included)

Location: the Archdiocesan Centre (151 rue de la Cathédrale, Winnipeg).

Theme: Archbishop LeGatt recalls that when he arrived here in 2009 and visited the various deaneries to get to know the archdiocese, one of the most commonly mentioned challenges was communication – between the archdiocese and its parishes, within parishes, and among parishioners.

With his retirement coming up in 2028, he has asked us to gather to reflect on how we’ve addressed this challenge, especially in light of the Synod on Synodality’s invitation to walk together more intentionally. Therefore, the theme for this Fall’s meeting is Communication & Synodality: Looking Back and Looking Forward. We will be invited to reflect upon the state of communication within the archdiocese and its parishes, and where we need to continue to grow in the future.

We will also be making time during this meeting to address any questions you have about parish leadership and parish pastoral councils. We would love to hear of your successes at this time too! Come prepared!
